JIM FITZGERALD  — CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Jim joined Flexan in June, 2015.  He began his career with Baxter and Cardinal Health where he served a combined eighteen years in sales and general management roles capping his tenure as Executive Vice President for the $5.9 Billion Midwest Region.  From Cardinal, he joined Vesta, a sponsor-backed contract manufacturer, as Executive Vice President responsible for sales, marketing, and business development.  Most recently, Jim served since 2012 as the Chief Operating Officer at The Institute for Transfusion Medicine.  He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

MIKE HUIRAS  — VICE PRESIDENT SALES & MARKETING

Mike recently joined Flexan as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  Mike began his career with Helen Curtis as a sales representative for the consumer products division.  He then joined Abbott in the Diagnostic and Molecular Diagnostics divisions, where he spent twenty-three years in several sales and marketing management roles of increasing responsibility in global product development, new ventures and international commercial operations.  Most recently, Mike served as the Senior Director of Global Marketing for Abbott Molecular business which focused on rapid and broad detection of pathogens responsible for infections of critically ill patients.  He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola University of Chicago.

KENNETH WROBLEWSKI  — CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Ken joined Flexan in October, 2015.  He began his career with Arthur Andersen and Co., certified public accountants, in the Enterprise Group where he served privately-held and private-equity sponsored manufacturing, distribution and service clients.  Since joining industry, Ken has held several senior-level roles, primarily with manufacturing businesses, including his role as Chief Financial Officer of Liquid Container LP, a $400 million, 1,100 employee, 14 plant, private-equity sponsored rigid packaging designer and manufacturer and, most recently, as the Chief Financial Officer of Inventus Power, a $420 million, 3,300+ employee, privately-held/private equity sponsored international vertically integrated battery, charging system and high-efficiency power supply manufacturer.  Ken has extensive experience in finance, accounting, information systems, risk management, taxation, strategic cost reduction initiatives, contract negotiation, business development, transaction diligence, logistics, facilities, and strategic sourcing.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from DePaul University, a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and is a Certified Global Management Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois.  Ken is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.

ERIC KING — VICE PRESIDENT, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Since 1992 Eric has been involved in the design and development of medical devices. His extensive experience includes R&D and product design and development responsibilities in the areas of artificial organs, obstetrics & gynecology, neonatal ventilation and vascular access devices. Eric joined MEDRON in 1997 and is responsible for product/process design and validation. He holds both a BS & MS in Mechanical Engineering. In 2016, Eric became Vice President – Product Development for MEDRON which is owned and operated by Flexan, LLC.
DAVID WORTLEY — VICE PRESIDENT, MANUFACTURING

Dave joined MEDRON in 1999 and has operational responsibility for the management of manufacturing, purchasing and for overall facility operations. In this capacity he oversees the hiring, training and two shift supervision of MEDRON’S production workforce. Dave’s previous business experience includes various sales responsibilities with national pharmaceutical and medical device companies.
MIKE KUJAWA — MANAGER, QUALITY AND REGULATORY AFFAIRS

Mike joined the MEDRON team in 2015 and has many years of experience in the medical device industry including spinal fusion systems, surgical imaging systems, and IT healthcare solutions. Mike received his undergraduate degree in Business Management and is finalizing a graduate degree in Quality Assurance. Mike is also a Certified Quality Engineer, Manager of Quality, and Quality Auditor through the American Society for Quality. Mike is a former Quality Manager, Site Leader, and Engineer with extensive experience in design controls for a Fortune 500 manufacturer of medical devices.

FRANK SULLIVAN  — VICE PRESIDENT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Frank’s first role at FMI was in 1994 as a regional Sales Manager.  He briefly left FMI in 2003 for a year to serve as National Sales Manager for Point Medical – silicone rubber molder and extruder for the medical device industry. Frank returned to FMI in 2004 as Executive Vice President and became President in 2008. In 2016 Frank became Vice President – Business Development for Flexan, LLC the parent company of FMI, Inc.

Frank worked at Versa Technologies (Moxness Products – molder of silicone rubber for industrial applications, Mox-Med – molder of silicone rubber for medical applications and Milwaukee Cylinder – manufacturer of pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders) as a Product Development Manager from 1984 – 1993.

Frank holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Parkside.

HAROLD SANT  — VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

Harold Sant has served as Flexan, LLC VP of Operations since Sept 2015. Harold leads the company’s US operations. He is responsible for the US Flexan and FMI divisions of manufacturing, engineering, and operations.  Prior to his current position, Harold held various engineering roles and most recently was the VP Operations of FMI, Inc.  He holds a master’s degree Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a bachelors degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Washington.

PETER KWAN  — GENERAL MANAGER, FLEXAN (SUZHOU)

Peter joined Flexan in June 2004 as Operations Manager and was promoted to General Manger in October 2006.  Prior to joining Flexan, Peter was an Operations Manager of a plastic molding company in Mexico. Peter brings with him 28 years of manufacturing experience and has worked in Spring & Stamping Industrial, Plastic Molding and Disk’s Drive sectors.  Peter started his manufacturing career as a production supervisor with Seagate Technology in Singapore. He left Seagate after a year and joined Micropolis Limited, another Disk Drive company. He was there for 6 years where he was promoted to Production Superintendent. In 1994 he moved to Timken Super Precision as a Production Manager. In 2000, he started working overseas and has since worked in Tianjin, Shanghai and Mexico.  Peter has 7 Direct reports including a Senior Buyer.
Peter graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in 1987. In addition, he also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business & Marketing from the University of Portsmouth (UK) and a Master of Business Administration in International Business from Salem International University in West Virginia, USA.

AMY SHEPLEY  — VICE PRESIDENT HUMAN RESOURCES

Amy joined Flexan in March, 2016.  She began her career with US Sprint and over the course of her career, has held a variety of HR positions and leadership roles at companies including Brunswick Recreation Centers, Accenture, Hewitt, W.W. Grainger, and Camping World.  Most recently, Amy partnered with the Corporate Strategy team and the Support Services organizations, including Technology, Procurement, Finance, Tax, Communications, HR and Legal as HR Director at Wolters Kluwer. She holds a B.S. Degree in Consumer Affairs/Business Administration from Eastern Illinois University.
