History

MEDRON, Inc. was established in January of 1994 by Ron Wortley to develop, engineer and manufacture percutaneous catheters and related medical devices, for its OEM customers.

In March of 1999 MEDRON moved into its current 14,000 square foot facility, located in Salt Lake City. Presently the Company has more than 80 employees and serves a wide variety of OEM customers, providing more than 350 different finished part numbers and accessory devices.

Ron Wortley, founder and President of MEDRON, has a long history of successful participation in the medical device industry, including his role as a founder and the CEO of a previous Salt Lake City based medical device company, MedWest, Inc. In 1988 MedWest was acquired by Kendall Healthcare, now a division of Tyco Healthcare.
